Bah, humbug! This is a brew that grew up in a sweet shop – a (very fancy) green tea that's partied up with extra minty mint leaves and a nostalgic smidge of caramel flavour. It's a scrumptiously sippable tea that's custom crafted to ping your happiness radar. A proper tasty mint green tea.

The box

The box is made from cartonboard, which is made from trees – a renewable resource that can easily be replenished.
This goes in your paper and cardboard recycling.

The tea bags

75% of the tea bag material is natural-based fibres: a mix of wood pulp and either abaca (a kind of banana plant) or rayon (made from woodpulp). 25% is an oil-based plastic sealing material called polypropylene, but we plan to switch that to what we now use to seal most of our other tea bags - a renewable, plant-based, industrially compostable bioplastic called Polylactic Acid (PLA), which is made from cornstarch.
At the moment, these should go in your refuse bin.

The inner wrap

This is made from metallised polypropylene (an oil-based plastic). This can be recycled by taking it to your local supermarket collection point.

what is Sweet mint green tea?

You need two things for a brilliant green tea: very good quality tea leaves, and plenty of them. So, we use a really good quality Japanese Sencha green tea and make sure there's plenty of it in the tea bag, so the flavour’s really smooth and satisfying. Then, for even more taste, we’ve paired it up with peppermint. And not just any old peppermint - we've got the good stuff, with lots of mint oils in the leaves for a big punch of mintiness that makes this tea really refreshing. And then, to give it a bit of a nostalgic sweet shop feeling, we've added some caramel flavour to rustle up thoughts of those lovely mint toffees that are so hard to stop eating once you started. It makes a very tasty tea.
