We’re committed to reducing the environmental impact of our packaging while protecting the quality of your brews. We’ve made progress in several areas but recognise there is more to do – not only to meet regulatory obligations but also to strengthen our long-term plans to reduce waste and emissions, and help consumers recycle responsibly.
We replaced the oil-based plastic in our tea bags with PLA, a plant-based plastic. All UK supermarket Yorkshire Tea boxes now contain plant-based tea bags. This means that you can pop the used plant-based tea bags in your council food waste collection and garden waste bins to go off to the local council for industrial composting.
